Shirley Marie Warren, age 78, of Sykesville, Maryland, died on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Born March 19, 1933 in Washington, PA, she was the daughter of the late David and Mary (Amon) Hannen. She was the former wife of Charles E. “Buck” Warren, Jr.
She was a nurse for 30 years with the Chapel Hill Nursing Home in Randallstown. She was an avid reader; enjoyed flowers; birds; crafts; painting & writing poetry. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Westminster.
Surviving are children, David Warren and wife Linda of Westminster, Cheri Carrigo and husband Ron of Taneytown, Rocky Warren and wife Michelle of Port Orchard, WA, Dan Warren and wife Linda of Hanover, PA, Kathy Brady and husband James of Berkley Springs, WV; siblings, Barbara Kelly and husband Cy, Don Hannen and wife Kay, and Billy Hannen and wife Linda all of Washington, PA, Richard Hannen of Ohio, and Bobby Hannen and wife Linda of Ohio.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by siblings, CeCe Jane Cage and David Hannen.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 East Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, with Pastors Michael Roadcup and James Brady co-officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville, MD. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
