Clyde W. Fleagle

Clyde W. Fleagle, age 89, of Temple, Texas, formerly of Westminster, Maryland, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in Temple, Texas.

Born December 17, 1921 in Frederick, Maryland, he was the son of the late Harry Blaine and Verne Elizabeth Welty Fleagle. He was the husband of the late Anita Renner Fleagle, whom he married in 1995.

He attended school in Westminster, Maryland before joining the United States Army. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a volunteer at Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Center in Temple, and was a life-member of Elks Lodge No. 138 and D.A.V. Post No. 27. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1820 and the Free Masons. He was also a member of Covenant Lutheran Church in Temple.

A funeral service was held Monday, June 27 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple, Texas, with the Rev. Vic Kilian officiating. A graveside inurnment service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Keysville Union Cemetery in Keysville, Maryland with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating.
