Charles William “Bo” Bushman, 80, life-long resident of Emmitsburg, Maryland, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the York Hospital.
Born September 22, 1936 in Emmitsburg, he was the son of the late Charles William Bushman, Sr. and Anna (Portner) Bushman. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Sylvia L. (Springer) Bushman.
Bo was retired as a truck driver with both Keilholtz Trucking and Southern States. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Emmitsburg. He served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1955-58.
Surviving in addition to his wife are granddaughters, Ashley, Stephanie and Tiffany Bushman; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas and Greg Bushman; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, John William Bushman, Sr.; a grandson, John Bushman, Jr.; 5 infant children; sisters, Helen Carico, Mae Brown, and Anna Louise Bushman; and a brother, David Bushman.
A memorial service to celebrate Bo’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church 313 W. Main Street in Emmitsburg. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD, and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
