Arthur Sylvester Lee, III, age 68, of Taneytown, Maryland, died on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.
Born September 25, 1942 in LaPlata, Maryland, he was the son of the late Arthur S., and F. Elizabeth (Dorsett) Lee, Jr. He is survived by his wife Kathleen A. (Glacken) Lee.
Arthur was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the V.F.W., and especially enjoyed writing poetry. He also enjoyed gardening, reading, acting, music, art, and visits to Chincoteague, Va. Arthur was an avid sports fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife are step-sons, Nicholas Glacken and wife Melody, Jimmy T. Small, Jr., and Justin M. Small all of Taneytown; sister, Susan Lee Carter and husband Kenneth of Hampstead; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Esther and Jesse Hansen of Taneytown; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Oscar Lovering of Fla. Also surviving are several step-grandchildren, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, and 7 great-nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the home of Susan and Kenneth Carter in Hampstead, MD.
