Ambrose Oliver “Andy” Miller, 92, of Hampstead, formerly of Woodlawn, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Golden Crest Assisted Living in Hampstead.
He was born August 26, 1921 in Annapolis, the son of the late Sebastian and Olive Tudor Miller. He was the husband of the late Ruth Snead Miller, who died in March 2013.
After attending Poly High School in Baltimore, he joined the Army and served in the Engineer Combat Battalion during World War II in Europe. He was a member for over 60 years of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local Union 101.
He is survived by daughters, Phyllis McGinnis of Hampstead and Leslie Logsdon and her husband, Joseph, of Timonium; grandchildren, Dr. Michael McGinnis and his wife, Maryann of Northfield, VT, Stephen McGinnis and his wife, Jodi of Scotrun, PA, Heather Stanford and her husband, Jasper, of Timonium; great grandchildren, Zachary, Stephen, Erin and Isabella.
Services and entombment will be private in Druid Ridge Cemetery in Pikesville, MD.
Arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster, MD.
