Wilson B. Horsey

September 3, 1929 — March 13, 2015

Wilson B. Horsey, age 85, of Westminster, formerly of Baltimore, died peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Golden Living Nursing Center in Westminster.  Born September 3, 1929 in Crisfield, Maryland, he was the son of the late Dewey S. and Eunice R. (Bell) Horsey.  He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth C. (Butterbaugh) Horsey in 2004.

Wilson was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War.  He was a specialty carpenter and worked building recreational and cabin cruiser boats for Owens later Brunswick Yachts.  He also worked in maintenance for JBA Chevrolet dealership in Glen Burnie.  He was an avid woodworker and was an amateur photographer.  He enjoyed his time as a resident at the Sunnybrook Senior Living Community.

Surviving him are a daughter, Barbara Ann McDonald and husband Jerry of Westminster; grandsons, Shawn C. and Ryan P. McDonald; and a brother, Norman L. Horsey of Glen Burnie.
He was predeceased by brothers, Dewey, William, and Daniel Horsey.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St, Westminster, MD.  Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gilchrist Hospice Care, 11311 McCormick Road, Suite 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
