William "Doc" David Lookingbill

William “Doc” David Lookingbill, age 65, of Taneytown, died on Saturday, August 13, 2022. Born August 28, 1956 in Keymar, he was the son of the late Vernon George Lookingbill and Dorothy Ellen (Horner) Lookingbill Yingling.

Doc enjoyed playing pool, woodworking, home repairs, working on cars and football. His passion for music and dancing led Doc to learn to play the guitar and write his own song lyrics. He was fluent in American Sign Language. Spending time with family and friends brought Doc much fulfillment.

Surviving are his former wife Bernadine of Taneytown; children, Randy Lookingbill and companion Pam Hartman, David Lookingbill, Dennis Lookingbill, Kim Lookingbill all of Taneytown, Joshua Lookingbill and Jessica Lookingbill of Gettysburg; siblings, Christopher Lookingbill of Hanover, Christine Caswell of Gettysburg, Eddie Lookingbill of Littlestown, Marty Lookingbill and wife Vicky of Keymar, Brenda Sowers and husband Lynn, Lori Stonesifer, Brian Stitley of Emmitsburg, Susan Pittinger and husband Mike of Walkersville; 10 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild. He was predeceased by his parents Vernon and Dorothy; sisters, Judy Hagan and Dessie Lookingbill; a grandmother Dessie Horner

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 E. Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the funeral home with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart officiating. Burial will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery.
