William "Bill" Albert Collins, Jr.

William (Bill) Albert Collins, Jr., 89, of Manchester, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022.  Born May 22, 1933 in Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late William A. Collins, Sr. and Edna C. Gallagher, nee Proctor. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte Marie Collins, nee, Gill, his wife of 62 years; devoted father of his two sons Stephen P. Collins and his wife Jiyun of Manchester, Matthew C. Collins and his wife Michelle of Mechanicsville, and daughter Michele Lawson and husband Todd of Ellicott City; cherished brother of Jerry D. Collins; loving Granddad of Aaron, Alex, Andrew, Andy, Ashlyn, Caileigh, Heather and Justin and Great-Grandad to Chauncey, Reid and Sophia. He was predeceased by his sisters Jeanne Brooks and Betty Marck.

Bill worked for many years in the insurance industry. He served in the United States Navy, and was a long-time member of the Charles Carroll Lions Club.

The family will receive friends 10 AM to 11 AM, Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Carrollton Church of God, 2151 Bethel Road, Finksburg (21048), where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM with his pastor the Rev. David L. Meador Officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, MD 21048. Luncheon will follow after the interment at the Carrollton Church of God in Finksburg.
