William Lord Wegworth, Jr., 78, of Westminster, Maryland, died unexpectedly Monday, July 27, 2015 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.  Born January 10, 1937 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William Lord and Sadie Barbara (Cerniglia) Wegworth, Sr.

Bill was a car salesman for a variety of dealers during most of his younger years.  He later worked in management at Little George’s Convenience Store and Weis Grocery Store, both in Westminster.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown and the Knights of Columbus Council 11631.  Bill enjoyed reading the Bible, watching western movies, tinkering with gadgets, and helping anyone who needed something fixed.

Surviving are daughters, Christine Vinson and husband Ray of NC, and Carol Longenecker and husband Tom of FL; grandchildren, Chuckie Dunithan of NJ, Kasey and Kayla Longenecker of FL, Mandy Sipes of TX, Holly Hall and husband Sam of NC, and Mark Britt of NC; special nieces, Bonnie Briceno of VA, and Jennifer Baxter of NC; 7 great-grandchildren; and several other nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sister, Rose Baxter, and long-time companion, Peggy Ramsay.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick St., Taneytown, MD with Father John F. Lesnick as celebrant.  Interment will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.
