William E. Utermahlen, Sr.

William E. “Bill” Utermahlen, Sr. age 77, of Taneytown, died Sunday, September 25, 2022 at his home. Born December 16, 1944 in Hanover PA, he was the son of the late Maurice and Marie Utermahlen. He was the loving husband of Donna Six Utermahlen for 55 years.

Bill was a glazier at Westminster Glass and Mirror retiring in 2006. He was a Golden Eagle member of Littlestown, PA FOE, lifetime member of Blue Ridge Sportsman Association and Social member of Harney VFW, former member of Silver Run Lions Club and past president of Taneytown Lions Club. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends he also liked watching NASCAR, Ravens football, going to casinos and playing golf.

Bill besides his wife, Donna, Bill is survived by son, William Utermahlen Jr., and wife Ann of Thurmont; grandsons, Nicholas and Matthew.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 2nd from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD 21887. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, 1903 S. Pleasant Valley Rd., Westminster 21158.
