William Andrew Stewart

William Andrew “Andy” Stewart, 60, of York, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully, Wednesday, May 25, 2022 surrounded by his family at the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. Born Thursday, January 11, 1962 in Hanover, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of the late William John Richard Stewart and Betty Louise Stewart, nee Swartz; loving husband of Heather Kathleen Stewart, devoted father of Samantha Stewart, Betsy Stewart, Gracey Stewart, Anna Stewart, Hailey Ellis and her husband Devon, Karah Stauffer, and Melody Stauffer; cherished brother of Gary R. Stewart and his wife Nancy, Pamela Bradsher and her husband Michael, and the late John Allen Stewart, who passed away in February of 2022; and Mr. Stewart is survived by numerous grandchildren; nieces, and nephews.

Andy operated his own construction company, William A. Stewart Construction.  Andy struggled with addiction but never gave up fighting.  He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He showed love by donating his time to others.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Freedom Biker Church, 2550 Pine Grove Road, York, PA 17403.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered in Mr. Stewart’s name to Life’s Beacon Foundation, C/O Mr. Robert Allen, 506 North George Street, York, PA 17404, on the memo line of your check please indicate “In Memory of Andy Stewart”.
