William “Bill” L. Poole, age 65, of Westminster, MD, died suddenly on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, following being struck by an automobile in Westminster.
Born June 3, 1945 in Westminster, Maryland, he was the son of the late Maurice H. and Laura P. (Dellinger) Poole.
He worked for a time at Cambridge Rubber Co., and was currently a dishwasher at Legends Café in Westminster.
Surviving are a sister, Martha E. Poole; brothers, Maurice F. Poole and wife Predita, Nathan H. Poole, and Herbert L. Poole all of Westminster; nieces, Helen Goss of Morgantown, W.VA, Kathy Beacham of Westminster; great-nephews, Joey Goss of Morgantown, W.VA, Nathan Beacham of Westminster; great-niece, Amanda Beacham of Westminster.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David L. Meador officiating. Interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery in Gamber.
