William "Bill" Devilbiss

William E. “Bill” Devilbiss, age 68, of Taneytown, Maryland died suddenly on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
Born January 1, 1942 in Taneytown, MD, he was the son of the late Myrle Reifsnider and Dorothy Louise (Dutrow) Devilbiss. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Mary K. (Lowe) Devilbiss.
Bill served with the PA National Guard from 1966-78. He worked in quality control as a supervisor for 28 years with Telemecanique and later with Black and Decker. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and gun collecting.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Jeff A. Devilbiss of Westminster and Brian K. Devilbiss of Gettysburg; granddaughters Rachel and Rebecca Devilbiss; and brother Robert L. Devilbiss of Taneytown.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Private interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant U.M. Cemetery in Taneytown. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
