William “Bill” Cooke, age 48, of Taneytown, Maryland, died on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.
Born January 7, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late William Cooke, Sr. and Rena (Peacock) Cooke.
Bill was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan; enjoyed playing horseshoes, playing his guitar, and spending time with his friends.
Surviving are close friends, along with many others, Theresa and Rodney Rill of Taneytown, and Jeff Heiser and Melinda Merson of Taneytown; brother, Timmy Cooke; step-brothers, Mike and Henny Barnette; cousin, Vernon Grimsley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by step-brothers, Terry and Steve Barnette.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Grace U.C.C. Cemetery in Taneytown.
