William F. Adams, age 77, of Sabillasville, MD died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Center in Boonsboro. Born July 4, 1934 in Emmitsburg, he was the son of the late Norman David and Helen Elizabeth Snyder Adams. He was the husband of Louise Pittenturf Adams, his wife of 38 years.
He was employed for many years by the State of Maryland working at the Victor Cullen Center and Western Maryland Hospital. He enjoyed hunting, watching wrestling and westerns, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Darrell Stottlemyer of Fairfield, PA, Lee Stottlemyer and wife Lisa of Fairfield, PA, & William Adams and wife, May-Lin of Frederick; daughter, Pansy Stottlemyer and companion, David Wright, of Sabillasville; brothers David Adams of Limerick, PA, and Harry Adams of Emmitsburg; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter-in-law, Dinah Stottlemyer and sister, Janet Newcomer.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 12 p.m. Tuesday, August 30 at St. Rita Catholic Parish, 13219 Monterey Lane, Blue Ridge Summit, MD with the Rev. Robert Malagesi, C.SS.CC. as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the mass. Interment will be private.
