Will Wallett

December 17, 1935 — February 7, 2018

Wilbur Raymond “Will” Wallett, 82, of Taneytown, MD passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his home.  Born December 17, 1935 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Charles and Evelyn (Myers) Wallett.  He was the husband of Gladys (Shaffer) Wallett, to whom he was married for 61 years.

Will was a carpet installer.  He was owner/operator of W&W Carpet Service for 42 years.  He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church in Reisterstown.  He enjoyed playing golf, carving bird figurines, attending church activities and spending time with his family and his many friends of the Carroll Vista Community.  He was an avid Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens fan.

Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife Gladys, are daughter, Kathy Rush of Taneytown; 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Wallett.

A memorial service to celebrate Will’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Northwest Baptist Church, 300 Westminster Rd., Reisterstown, MD, with Pastor Grant Lauterbach officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Monday.

Arrangements have been entrusted to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Taneytown, MD.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Will’s name may be made to Northwest Baptist Church, P.O. Box 372, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
