Walter Leroy Miller, Jr., age 78 of Westminster, died Tuesday December 18, 2012 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. He was born September 18, 1934 in Adams County, PA son of the late Walter Miller, Sr. and Naomi Erb Miller. He worked at Black & Decker, English American Tailoring and made furniture.
He enjoyed bowling nature and being outdoors. Walter loved country and blue grass music, especially Johnny Cash and Hank Williams, Sr. He was a member of the Westminster Moose Lodge and a former member of Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by children, Monty “Bunky” Miller of Hanover, PA, Amanda Sipling and husband, Jeffrey of New Oxford, PA, Ronald Miller and wife, Barbara of Aspers, PA and William Miller of Littlestown, PA; siblings, Nancy Horick of Hanover, PA, Larry Miller and wife Teresa of Westminster, Gloria “Butch” Kontz of Hanover, PA
and Robert “Bobby” Miller and wife, Sandy of Westminster; also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by sisters, Linda “Dink” Knight, Patricia Crandel and Shirley Warehime and brother, Roy “Sonny” Miller.
Services and interment will be private.
Arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
