Walter M. Green Iii

Walter M. “Chip” Green, III, age 60 died suddenly on Friday, January 20, 2023, in Odenton, MD. Born, December 6, 1962, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Joyce Ann Green and the late Walter M. Green, JR.

Chip was a 1980 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School. He served in the US Army from 1980 to 1984, with one tour of duty in Germany which he enjoyed immensely.  Chip was a “Jack of all Trades,” and was talented with electronics and computers. He was also a caretaker for an elderly gentleman. He loved reading science fiction novels, comic books, watching Doctor Who and was a self-proclaimed “Trekker”. He was a formidable trivia player. Chip had a great sense of humor and was a practical joker.

Besides his mother, Joyce Green,  Chip is survived by brother, Stanley V. Green of Gettysburg, PA and sister, Stephanie Hoare and husband Frank of Westminster, MD.

He was predeceased by his son, Dominic in 2020.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Messiah United Methodist Church, 25 Middle St., Taneytown MD, 21787.
