Virginia Grace Vaughn

Virginia Grace Vaughn, 88, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, died peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Transitions of Gettysburg Nursing Center.

Born on June 29, 1929 in Emmitsburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Grace Mable (Sheeley) Vaughn.

Virginia worked at Cambridge Rubber Factory in Taneytown, and later at the Provincial House in Emmitsburg.

Surviving her are cousins, Linda L. Hobbs and Lona J. Stoops and husband Craig both of Gettysburg; and several other cousins.  The family wishes to acknowledge the Bolin family for all of the care and support given to Virginia over the years.

She was predeceased by her brother, Richard A. Vaughn in 2014.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD with the Rev. Virgil Cain officiating.  Burial will follow in the Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Frederick County Humane Society, 57 Highland St., #200, Frederick, MD  21701.
