Virginia I. Morelock, age 86, of Taneytown, Maryland, died on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown.
Born March 27, 1925 in Taneytown, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mabel(Bercaw) Smith. She was predeceased by her husband Paul M. Morelock in 1987.
She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Taneytown. She graduated from Taneytown High School class of 1942 and worked for a time at Cambridge Rubber Factory. For several years she was an aid and driver for ARC.
Surviving are daughters, Linnis Bruner & husband, William of Tulsa, OK, and Linda Dellinger & husband, Richard of Thurmont, MD; grandchildren, Rae Lynn Tolle & husband, Michael, Melissa Anne Haeske & husband, Dylan, & Tamara K. Bruner, all of Oklahoma, and Matthew & Paul Dellinger of Thurmont; 4 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by siblings, Dorothy Fry, Thomas and Martin Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Grace United Church of Christ in Taneytown with her pastor the Rev. Steven Ostendorf-Snell officiating. Interment will follow in Grace U.C.C. Cemetery in Taneytown. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, and on Thursday from 12:00 until the time of service at the church.
