Virginia L. Miller, age 89, of Taneytown, Maryland, died on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the home of her son in Union Bridge, MD.
Born September 8, 1921 in Uniontown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Rhoda (Bowersox) Dayhoff. She was predeceased by her husband Wilbur F. “Mose” Miller, Jr. in 2003.
Virginia enjoyed reading and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving are children, Robert Miller and wife Karen of Union Bridge, Ronald Miller of Gulfport, Miss., Beverly Bales and husband Larry, Susan Devilbiss and husband Jerry, and Martha Shorb, all of Taneytown; grandchildren, Robin Bloom, Julie Albert and husband Ed, Jennifer Bales, Michael Bales and wife Megan, Mark Devilbiss, Lee Miller and Jason Miller and wife Derrith; great-grandchildren, Carter Bloom, Nathaniel and Nicholas Albert, Kameron Miller, and Luna Surjana.
She was predeceased by siblings, Ruby Worley, Earl Dayhoff, Guy Dayhoff, and Robert McClure “Mac” Dayhoff.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, with the Rev. Rachel Semovoski officiating. Interment will follow in the Keysville Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
