Virginia Lee (Lawrence) Kolpack

Virginia Lee (Lawrence) Kolpack, age 89, of Taneytown, MD, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Born February 12, 1935 in Union Bridge, MD, she was the daughter of the late Reuben and Elsie (Blacksten) Lawrence. She was the wife of the late William “Bill” Kolpack Jr.

Virginia was a devoted mom and mom-mom. She worked at New Windsor Middle School as a cafeteria aide and New Windsor Service Center. She was an avid gardener and had a special love for animals.

Surviving are daughters, Lisa Socks of Waynesboro, PA, and Vickie Trout and husband Douglas of Taneytown; grandchildren, Doug Trout Jr., William Trout and wife Heather, Jacob Trout, and Steven Socks; and great grandchildren, Riley, Hudson, and Westen Trout; brother, Wayne Lawrence and wife Linda. Virginia was predeceased by her parents; beloved husband, Bill; brothers, Calvin, and Richard Lawrence; and sister, Janet Lambert.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., 136 E Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
