Vergie M. Crouch, age 95, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Carroll Lutheran Village Healthcare Center.
Born September 1, 1917 in Damascus, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Mollie Eva Mullinix. She was the wife of the late Clayton G. Crouch, who predeceased her in February 2005.
She became an R.N. in 1939 at Union Memorial Hospital and worked as a private duty nurse. She retired as a nursing supervisor from Keswick in Baltimore. She was a member of Loch Raven United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, keeping up with current events, and spending time with family.
Surviving are daughter, Sandra C. Schroeder and husband Richard of Westerville, Ohio; son, John C. Crouch and wife Christine of Manchester, Md.; grandchildren; Dana L. Schroeder of Ohio and John C. Crouch, Jr. of Baltimore.
A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Carroll Lutheran Village Krug Chapel, 300 St. Luke Circle with Rev. Ralf Nies officiating.
