Vera J. Kaufman, 90, of Finksburg, died Thursday evening, February 4, 2016 at her home.
Born April 23, 1925 in North Tazewell, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Luther F. Hoback and Bessie Bell Repass Hoback. Her husband, Jerome A. Kaufman, predeceased her in 1969.
Vera was employed as a Balance Clerk for the Social Security Administration until her retirement. She was a member of Sandymount U.M. Church in Finksburg.
Surviving her is a daughter, Patricia “Patty” Cooper of Finksburg and grandchildren, Michael Kaufman, Robert Cooper, Jr and Heather Cooper. She was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy Frederick and her brother, Vernon Hoback.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, with Rev. Reid Robinette officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Woodlawn.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 PM on Friday and 2 hours prior to the service on Saturday.
