Todd L. Rockwell, age 48, of Emmitsburg died on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born May 3, 1963 in Brookline, Mass., he was the son of Wallace L. Rockwell and step-son of Kathy (Frend) Rockwell of Emmitsburg. He was predeceased by his mother, Lucille (Mollomo) Rockwell.
Todd was an avid musician, song writer, composer, and recording artist. He traveled and performed in the Mid-Atlantic region along with his brothers in the “Driftwood” band. He was a civil engineer and currently was working on various construction projects as site superintendent. He loved fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his father and step-mother are children, Jessica, Nicholas, and Sarah Rockwell all of Pittsburg, PA; brothers, Vance Rockwell of Emmitsburg and Keith W. Rockwell and wife Heather of Greenbelt; uncle and aunt, Salvatore and Yvonne Balsamo of Dover, Mass. Todd also was survived by six grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Jon R. Greenstone officiating. Interment will follow in the Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery.
