Timothy John Tyler Nettleton

Timothy John Tyler Nettleton, 58, of Emmitsburg, MD, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Johns-Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD following a long and valiant battle with cancer.  Born September 21, 1958 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late John Tyler Nettleton and the late Pamela (Lindridge) Bounds Peia.  He was the husband of Greta (Myers) Nettleton, to whom he was married for 29 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife Greta are daughter, Deanna Nettleton of Emmitsburg; son, Graham Nettleton, of Emmitsburg; sister, Linda Conte and husband Tony of Indian Head, MD; brothers, Andrew Bounds and Dee of Shady Side, MD, and Tyler Nettleton and wife Linda of Hummelstown, PA., and several nieces and nephews. Tim will also be remembered by Mark, Beth, Abby and Luke Timothy Strickland of Wiggins, CO and special friends Tina and Bailey Coop along with many other relatives and dear friends.

Tim was the former Director of HVAC for Cropp-Metcalfe Heating & Air Conditioning in Fairfax, VA, where he was employed for more than 30 years. Tim loved working on his farm, Nettleton’s Tranquillity, riding his Harley, flying his ultra-light plane and taking many special vacations with his family.

A memorial service to celebrate Tim’s life will be held on June 17 starting at 10:30 at Nettleton’s Tranquillity.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Johns Hopkins Hospital Oncology Department, 600 N. Wolfe St., Baltimore, MD, 21287, or to Tom’s Creek United Methodist Church, 10926 Simmons Rd., Emmitsburg, MD, 21727.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Emmitsburg.
