Thomas “Butch” Allen Huffman, 71, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born on February 27, 1946 in Clarksburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Russell M. and Mary (Burger) Huffman.
Butch was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was a concrete finisher and retired from Stevenson Concrete in August 2016. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and boating. He was a member of the American Post #31 Westminster and V.F.W. Post # 6954, Littlestown.
Surviving are his companion of 20 years, Patricia Moser; daughter, Michele Miller of Joppa; 3 grand-daughters; sisters, Nance Jean Stamboni and husband Louis of Ocean Isle, N.C., Marjorie Huffman of Baltimore; brother, Edward “Pete” Huffman and wife Connie of Westminster; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by siblings, Mary Lee Sicca, Joseph K. Huffman, James M. Huffman, Russell Huffman, Jr., and Deborah K. Dudgeon.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster with funeral celebrant John C. Morrill officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be held at 10:45 AM on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Garrison Forest MD Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills, MD.
