Thomas Patrick “Pat” Reynolds, 77, of Emmitsburg, MD, died on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD. Born October 11, 1943 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Clement Jordan Reynolds and the late Julia (Jacobs) Reynolds. He was the devoted husband of Suzanne (Daly) Reynolds for 36 years.
Pat was a graduate of the University of Maryland, where he earned a degree in Accounting. He became a Certified Public Accountant in June of 1971, and worked for many years with Pioneer Technologies in Gaithersburg, MD. He attended St. Francis Catholic Parish in Derwood, MD for several years and became a Knight of Columbus while a parishioner there. He was very proud of all of his children, and his large extended family. He was particularly grateful for the help his children provided in his later years when he needed assistance as his health declined. Pat was an avid sports fan, especially football and basketball, and in particular, loved watching Notre Dame play football. He personally played golf for many years and worked out at the gym. He coached basketball teams at Saint Francis and was always present for the many sports that his children played.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Suzanne, are children, David Reynolds, Julianne Powell (Eric), Amanda Logue (Rick), Michael Reynolds (Ivelis), and Brian Reynolds; step-daughters, Christina Brockett (Tom), and Jennifer Graham; siblings, Julieann Nicholson, Richard Reynolds (Joanne), and James Reynolds (Carolyn); 10 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Mary Elizabeth Jacobsen; and brothers, Clement Jordan Reynolds, Jr., and Joseph Michael Reynolds.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 47 DePaul St., Emmitsburg, MD will be private for family. The Rev. Martin McGeough, C.M. will be the celebrant. The Mass will be live-streamed at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021. The live-stream may be accessed by going to the St. Joseph’s Church web site, https://www.stjosephemmitsburg.org, and clicking on the red box at the upper right hand corner of the page. Inurnment will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery.
