Thomas Mark Kreiger, age 59, of Taneytown, Maryland, died on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at his home following a recent battle with cancer.
Born January 16, 1956 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Schwing) Kreiger.  He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 38 years, Peri A. (Brant) Kreiger.
Tom graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School Class of 1973 in Johnstown, PA.  Prior to his illness, he was attending college for CADD, CAMM, computer manufacturing.  Tom’s career in the newsprint business began at the Johnstown Tribune Democrat, and then continued onto the New York Newsday and Baltimore Sun papers.  He loved golf, fishing, learning new things, Astronomy, Steelers football, sitting on his back deck watching the sun go down, enjoying his wife’s company, talking and dreaming, and going for long drives.  To Peri, he was her soulmate, her “Tommy-darlin”.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are brothers, Dave Kreiger of Monroe, Michigan, Robert Kreiger of Stillwater, Minn., and Scott Kreiger of Hollywood, FL; brother-in-law, Samuel Brant of MD; nieces, Katie Beck, Dreama Paul, Becca Kreiger, Christy Ferry-Shaw, Alicia Sentoff, and Shannon Jester; nephews, Phillip, Eric, Christian, Jarrod, and Nick Kreiger, Daniel Brant, Harrison Mauck, and Tyler Ferry.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 12-2 p.m. and 4 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 6 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD.  Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adams Cancer Center, V Twin Dr., Gettysburg, PA  17325.
