Thomas B. Fogle, Sr

Thomas B. Fogle, Sr., age 76, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, died peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Born May 5, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Harry O. and Alva (Eyler) Fogle. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary E. (Stouter) Fogle.
He served in the U.S. military, and worked for Sam Hayes Plumbing of Emmitsburg. Later he was a driver for Keilholtz’s Trucking, Inc. of Thurmont and retired after many years with Harner’s Express of Baltimore. Tom was a life member of the Blue Ridge Sportsmen’s Association of Fairfield, PA and the American Legion Post 120 in Taneytown. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at F.M.H., Cancer Care Center, Dr. Taimur and staff for the care and support during Tom’s illness.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Diane Neiderer and husband Charlie of Taneytown, Thomas B. Fogle, Jr. and wife Milissa of Waynesboro, PA, and Harry M. Fogle and partner Donaldo Jones-Fogle of Waynesboro, PA; grandchildren, Dawn Albaugh and husband Michael, Donna Richmond and husband Doug, Michael Fogle and wife Kristina, Shawn Fogle, Miranda, Cassandra, Harry Isaac, Megan, and Jacob Fogle; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Madeline Warner of Taneytown, MaryAnna Buffington of New Midway, Isabelle Falcone of Emmitsburg, and Catherine Fogle Pittinger of Emmitsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by siblings, Marie, Harry M., Oscar A., Sr., Floyd S., and William E. Fogle, and Arbelle Fogle Valentine.
A Prayer Service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 West Main St., Emmitsburg, with Rev. Charles F. Krieg, C.M. officiating. Interment will follow in the New St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Emmitsburg. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
