Thomas Francis Carroll, Sr., age 60, of New Windsor, Maryland died unexpectedly on June 14, 2013.
Born September 21, 1952 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Francis Walter Carroll and Mary Regina (Wilkinson) Carroll.
Survived by his loving wife Karen Lee (Blackledge) Carroll, to whom he would have been married 40 years on July 27th.
“TC” graduated from Gonzaga High School in 1969. He then attended the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy graduating in 1977, and later received his Doctor of Pharmacy in 1997. He also attended Towson State University, where he was awarded a M.S. degree in 1995. Tom enjoyed many interest and adventures including a Black belt in Karate, professional Scuba diving, scuba instructor, baseball, hunting, camping, shooting, and collecting. Most of all his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Thomas Francis Carroll, Jr. of New Windsor and James Charles Carroll and wife Mary of Manchester; grandchildren, Curtis James and Chloe Grace Carroll; brother, James Carroll of Springfield, Va., sisters, Terri Deiuliis of Westminster and Lisa Borek of Glenwood; nieces and nephews, Michael Deiuliis, Kristin Beauchamp, James, Ashley, and Ann-Marie Carroll, Nathan and Evan Borek; and many cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Saint Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Rd., Eldersburg with Rev. George Wilkinson as celebrant. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, and on Wednesday from 12:00 pm until the time of Mass at the church.
