Thelma T. Overholtzer, 83, of Littlestown, PA died peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown. Born January 6, 1930 in Emmitsburg, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Lillian Rosensteel McNulty. She was the wife of the late Roy B. Overholtzer, to whom she was married for 34 years.
Thelma worked at the Cambridge Rubber Factory in Taneytown for several years and at Random House in Westminster for 18 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown. In her earlier years, Thelma and her husband Roy enjoyed dancing and going out with friends. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, collecting cat figurines, and watching the Orioles on TV during her later years. Thelma loved her family dearly and always enjoyed giving and receiving hugs.
Surviving are daughter, Debbie Frazier and husband Rich of Taneytown; grandsons, Ryan Lawrence of Westminster, and Phillip Lawrence and partner Adam Weller of Littlestown, PA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Doris Finnerty, and brothers, Earl and Lloyd McNulty.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick St., Taneytown, MD with Monsignor Martin E. Feild as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD. Prayers will be offered at 7:45 p.m.
