Thelma Joyce McClure Doss, 83, of Cartersville, GA died peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Gettysburg Center in Gettysburg, PA. Born March 13, 1933 in Midway, WV, she was the daughter of the late Bige and Laura (Bucannon) Doss.
Thelma was a creative and successful florist, floral designer, and artist. She recently relocated to Taneytown to be with her family, and was attending Grace United Church of Christ. She enjoyed arranging flowers, painting, cooking, hiking and climbing. She loved to travel, and had visited 47 of the 50 states.
Surviving are sons, Charles “Steve” McClure and wife Barbara of Stony Point, NC, and Rick McClure and wife Donna of Taneytown, MD; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by all 7 of her siblings, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
