Terry Lee Crowl

Terry Lee Crowl passed away on Tuesday August 20th, 2024 in Taneytown. Born on February 10th, 1969 he was the son of Blanche Elizabeth Shorb and the late Charles William Crowl, Jr. He was the husband of Valerie Anne Crowl, his wife of 12 years.

Terry is the stepfather of Bo Sauter and his wife Janette, Katie Sutton and her husband Chaz, Casey Sauter and her partner Andy Simmons, and the late Sarah Sauter Rinehart; father-in-law of Kevin Rinehart; brother of Beverly Stanley and her partner Eugene Rock, Larry Crowl, Sr. and his wife Amy, Randy Crowl and his partner Suzanne Meurer;  grandfather of Sawyer, Julius, Cannon, Spencer, Titus, Gunner, Sterling, Aris, Ripley, Beckham and Cyprus; son-in-law of Barbara Stahler and the late Robert Stahler, Sr.; uncle of numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Terry worked as a machinist at General Dynamics for 25 years. He was known for his love of hunting and archery. Both of which kept him very busy as he enjoyed competing in shoots and taking hunting trips across the U.S. He was very outgoing and liked to keep busy with social teams such as bowling which him and his wife, Valerie, enjoyed doing together. He was a loyal fan to the Orioles and the Dallas Cowboys. Terry was a ball of energy and never seemed to tire. He was lovingly referred to as a big kid and often found himself playing with the kids at all the events. He was known as Tiggy to his 11 grandchildren whom he adored and were the topic of many of his conversations. The kids could always count on Tiggy to play, dance, or swim with them, but mostly, the kids could count on Tiggy to have fun with them. He loved being outside, spending time with his friends, and tearing it up on the dance floor. Terry was dependable and always willing to lend a helping hand. Terry’s friends and family knew that if they called him, he would show up and take care of business. Terry will be missed immensely by his family and friends especially the young ones who knew him as their “Tiggy”.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday August 27th 2024 from 1-3pm and 6-9pm at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 136 E. Baltimore Street; Taneytown (21787) and Wednesday, August 28th, 2024 from 11 a.m. until time of service at Noon with the Reverend Charlene Fowler officiating.
