Teresa Louise Saunders, age 49, of Taneytown, Maryland, died suddenly on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Carroll Hospital Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born February 1, 1961 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of David M. and Louise (Shorb) Miller of Taneytown, MD. She was the wife of 28 years to Edward C. Saunders, Sr.
Teresa was a life long member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taneytown. She was a school bus driver and contractor for the past 27 years with Carroll County Public Schools. She loved gardening, flowers, decorating, and spending time with her loving family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her parents and husband are sons, Edward C. Saunders, Jr. of Taneytown, Andrew J. Saunders of Taneytown and close friend Elisabeth Hildebrand of Keymar; grandson, Nathan E. Saunders; sister, Cheryl Hemler and husband Robert of Hanover, PA; close friend, Tina Feeser of Taneytown; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Taneytown, with Pastors Josh and Rachel Semovoski co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Taneytown. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St. Taneytown and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
