Theodore Constantine “Ted” Blank, 72, of Frederick died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Northampton Manor Nursing Center in Frederick. Born March 18, 1944 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Meredith Leo Blank and the late Charlotte (Draper) Grumbine. He was the devoted companion of Alice Cromwell of Frederick for 34 years.
Ted was a retired brick mason. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, crabbing, cooking, and watching all types of sports, including NASCAR racing.
In addition to his devoted companion Alice, Ted is survived by daughters: Chris Youngerman and husband David of Keedysville, their sons, David Youngerman, Jr., his wife Chelsea, and their sons, Colton & Briar of Keedysville, Joey Youngerman, his wife Amber, and their sons Devin & Blake, of Thurmont, and Dalton Youngerman of Keedysville; and Connie Cline and husband Mike, and their daughters Taylor & Allison of Hagerstown; step-daughters, Gail Quynn of Frederick, her daughter Jesi Chausky, her husband Chad, and their daughters, Maddie and Cayla of Frederick, Sandy Foreback, her daughter Lindsay Gardner, and Lindsay’s daughter, Jayden, of Waynesboro, PA; and Terry Cromwell of Frederick, her daughter, Megan Hicks, husband Dereke, and their children, Juju & Jojo, and Terry’s son, Seth Nikirk of Frederick; brother, Sam Blank and his family; sisters, Susie Campbell and Dana Lombardo and their families; and many nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by brother, Jim Blank, and step-son-in-law, Bill Quynn.
