Taylor Devon Potts Shorb, age 22, of Dover, PA., died suddenly on Monday, September 1, 2014 in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Born September 25, 1991 in Westminster, Maryland, she was the daughter of Alan Potts of Littlestown, PA., and Leah Potts and Gary Lauer of Hampstead.
Taylor attended Church of the Open Door in York, PA. She was an avid runner and was in training for a 5-K. She enjoyed motorcycling and was going to be teaching a class on motorcycling this Fall. Above all she loved her children and family.
Surviving in addition to her parents are husband, Justin Michael Shorb of Dover, PA, daughter, Ahnika Nichole Shorb and son, Nicholas Adam Shorb; sister, Elizabeth Russ and husband James of Taneytown; brother, Alex Potts of Littlestown; niece, Aubrey Russ; maternal grandparents, Ronald and Barbara Cheeks of Westminster; maternal great-grandmother, Cleo Cheeks of Martinsburg, W.VA.; paternal grandmother, Nikajean Kane of Hampstead; paternal grandfather, David Potts and wife Martha Keane of Manchester, MD..
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with Pastor Robert Riedy officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
