Susan Elaine Rodkey, 47, of Taneytown, MD died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 in Zion, Illinois following an extended illness.
Born February 18, 1961 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of Arlene (Lawrence) Stambaugh of Taneytown and the late John R. Stambaugh, Sr.
She was employed by Marada Industries in Westminster for many years. She enjoyed her work and spending time with her family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by son, Jamie Lee Rodkey & fiancé, Kristy Martin of New Windsor; son, Johnny Rodkey of Union Bridge; daughter, Kelly Rodkey of Taneytown; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Bob Sell of Keymar, and Barbara and Jimmy Patrick of Lisbon; brothers and sisters-in-law Roy & Judy Stambaugh of Thurmont and John, Jr. & Lisa Stambaugh of Taneytown. She is also survived by former spouse, Duane Rodkey of Union Bridge.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, December 22 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD with the Rev. Gerald D. Fuss officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Gettysburg, PA.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
