Steven Michael Hahn, 59, of Taneytown, MD, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at University of MD Hospital Center in Baltimore.
Born on April 21, 1958 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Franklin D. and Flora F. (Welch) Hahn. He was the husband of 36 years to Linda M. (Penley) Hahn.
Steven was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany as a tank commander. He worked as a truck driver with J & J Waste Disposal and Tevis Oil, and currently worked as a bus driver with Johnson Bus Service for Carroll County Public Schools. He was a member of the Mayberry Gun Club and enjoyed crafting walking sticks, camping, cooking, and four-wheeling. He was an avid football fan, and enjoyed going to yard sales along with his wife. He was very supportive of his all his sons and helped his son start Hahn Home Improvements. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Derek B. Hahn of Taneytown, Jesse L. Hahn of Taneytown, and Cody Ryan Hahn and girlfriend Anna Gillis of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, Melanie Brown, Jordan, James, Lillie, Braiden and Adalie Hahn; sisters, Gail K. Roop and husband Irvin of Union Bridge, Diane L. Hahn and fiancée George Funt of Waynesboro, PA, and Vicki A. Hahn of Mifflintown, PA; brother, Christopher A. Hahn, Sr. of Taneytown; sister-in-law, Pat Hahn of Mifflin, PA; many niece and nephews and two Yorkshire Terriers Scooter and Sasha.
He was predeceased by brothers, Dale L. Hahn and Franklin “Denny” Hahn.
A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD with funeral celebrant John C. Morrill officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
