February 10, 1975 — April 6, 2017

Steven David Grant, 42, of Gettysburg, PA died on Thursday, April 6, 2017 as the result of an automobile accident.  Born February 10, 1975 in Baltimore, he was the son of Vivian Cookston Grant Browning of Fayetteville, PA, and the late Joseph J. Grant.  He was the husband of Amanda (Matson) Grant, to whom he was married for 16 years.

Steven was a graduate of Westminster High School, class of ‘93.  He was a Water Systems Technician for Carroll Water Systems in Westminster.  He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Littlestown, PA, where he participated in the “I AM That I Am” motorcycle ministry.  He was also a Royal Rangers Commander at the church.  Steven enjoyed fishing, and was an avid hunter.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Grant; sisters, Deanna Smith and husband Ron of Gettysburg, PA, Laura Mullen and husband, Lonnie, of Littlestown, PA, & Julia McClatchy and husband, Rich, of Panama City Beach, FL; brother, Philip Grant and wife Cindy of Prosper, TX; step-father, Chester Browning of Fayetteville, PA; special nephew, Joshua Campbell; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and other nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Bethel Assembly of God, 1125 Frederick Pike, Littlestown, PA, with the Rev. Richard Ritenour officiating and the Rev. Garry Scheaffer assisting.  Interment will follow at Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, 21787.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help defray final expenses may be made to the funeral home at the above address.
