Stephen Star King

September 7, 1967 — January 21, 2015

Stephen Star King, age 47, of Hanover, Pennsylvania, died suddenly on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Hanover Hospital following a heart attack.
Born September 7, 1967 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Clarence L. and Betty (Hackney) King of Westminster.  He is survived by his fiancée of 20 years, Tracy Lynn Kemmer.
Stephen worked for a time at London Fog and was currently working for the past 16 years at Group Benefit Services in Hunt Valley as a computer programmer.  He was an assistant scout master with BSA troop #501 in Littlestown, PA, and a member of St. Benjamin’s (Kriders) Lutheran Church in Westminster.  He enjoyed playing video games on X-Box 360 especially “Skyrim” and DS with his sons.  He was a Ravens fan, and enjoyed spending time with family; especially attending scouting events with his sons.
Surviving in addition to his parents and fiancée are sons, Austin William King and Joshua Logan King both of Hanover, PA; step-son, Christopher Lee Hale and wife Lisa of Parkton, MD; step-grandchildren, Brady, Parker, and Lexi Hale; mother-in-law, Joanne Kemmer of Westminster; father-in-law, Roy Kemmer of Waynesboro, PA; brothers-in-law, Marc Kemmer of Fork, MD and Tom Pickett, Jr. of Westminster; sister-in-law, Lisa Kemmer of Westminster; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St, Westminster, MD, with Rev. David S. Schafer officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Benjamin’s (Kriders) Lutheran Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
