Sister Mary Bernadette Forney, DC, age 90, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Villa Saint Michael in Emmitsburg, Maryland. She was born on February 3, 1923 in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of the late Walter Forney and Mary (Walsh) Forney. She was a Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent DePaul and served in various positions in schools and outreach ministry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Basilica Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 333 South Seton Avenue in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The Rev. Stephen Trzecieski, C.M. (Chaplain to the Daughters of Charity) will be the celebrant. Interment will follow on the grounds of St. Joseph Provincial House Cemetery. A Wake Service will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM in the Villa Chapel. Arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
