Sonja Helen Kowalchuk Zappardino, age 85, of Westminster, Maryland died on Monday, December 5, 2011 at her home in Uniontown.
Born June 17, 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Daniel G. and Nadezhda (Zimnitsky) Kowalchuk.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony E. Zappardino, III. Surviving are daughter, Pamela H. Zappardino and husband Charles Collyer of Uniontown; grandchildren, Siana Wood and husband Mike, David Collyer; great-grandson, Matthew Collyer; nieces and families, Diane Generous and Nancy McMillan.
Services and interment will be private.
