Sister Marie Yetter, age 94, of Emmitsburg, Maryland, died peacefully on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Villa St. Michael, St. Vincent’s Care Center in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
She was born on April 30, 1918 in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Albert Joseph Yetter and Elizabeth Gertrude (Glorius) Yetter.
She was a Daughter of Charity and served the church as a teacher in various parochial schools.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Basilica Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 333 S. Seton Ave. in Emmitsburg, Maryland with Rev. Stephen Trzecieski, C.M. (Chaplain to the Daughter of Charity) as celebrant. Interment will follow on the grounds of the St. Joseph Provincial House Cemetery. A Wake will be held the evening prior to the Mass on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the Provincial House Chapel.
