Sidney Dwight Miller, age 56 of Westminster died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at his home. He was born August 16, 1951 in Hanover, Pennsylvania, the son of George H. and Agnes L. Stephan Miller of Westminster. He was the companion of Sharon Lee Brothers of Westminster. He was a 1969 graduate of Westminster High School. He had worked as a brick tender and mixer in the construction industry. He was a trustee and charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Westminster #4378 and was a life member and instrumental in supporting the club from its inception. He was a member of F.O.E. Brunswick #1136. He was a charter member of the Mens Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post 467 of Westminster.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 31 in Westminster and the Westminster Moose Lodge #1381. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
In addition to his parents and companion he is survived by his daughter, Chelsea Elizabeth Miller of Falling Waters, West Va. and former spouses Rita M. Walker of Falling Waters, West Virginia and Melissa A. Wenzing-Weyant of Henderson, Nevada; brother Dale H. Miller of Westminster.
A funeral service will be held Saturday 11:00 AM at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Rev. Marty Roberson officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s (Leisters) Lutheran Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:30 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home. The Westminster Moose will hold a service at 6:30 pm and the Fraternal Order of Eagles will have a memorial service at 8:30 pm Friday evening at the funeral home.
