Shirley Ann Zaccagnini, 75, a native of Welch, West Virginia and a longtime resident of Reisterstown and Westminster, Maryland, died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.
Ms. Zaccagnini was born in Hemphill, West Virginia daughter of the late Tyler and Edith (Osborne) Rakes; and graduated from Welch High School. Ms. Zaccagnini was a long time employee of Clinical Associates in Lutherville, Maryland and Dr. Ammlung in Catonsville, Maryland as a medical billing specialist. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors in include her two sons, Dan D. Zaccagnini III and wife Kimberly of Reisterstown, Maryland, and Anthony Zaccagnini and wife Corinne of Woodbine, Maryland; four grandsons Dan D. Zaccagnini IV, Joseph Zaccagnini and Paul Zaccagnini of Reisterstown, Maryland and Tyler Zaccagnini of Woodbine, Maryland. A sister, Nancy Groff of Ephrata, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Helen Cox and Mary Jo Maxwell.
A prior marriage to Dan D. Zaccagnini of Taneytown, Maryland ended in divorce.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December, 1, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, Maryland, with Monsignor Lloyd E. Aiken as celebrant. Inurnment will be private.
