Shirley Ann Reiter, age 76, of Taneytown, formerly of Westminster, Maryland, died on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Lorien Taneytown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 21, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Manley) Novak. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John N. Reiter.
She retired from Carroll County Foods, and was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westminster. She loved to crochet and make crafts.
In addition to her husband she is survived by children, Darlene Zeiler of Westminster, Nicholas A. Reiter of Marion, John F. Reiter of Taneytown, and Deborah R. Knouse of Keymar; 6 grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Jamie L. Miller, and by siblings, Patrick Novak and Joan (Ginger) Bognanni.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with the Rev. Kevin Clementson officiating. Interment will follow in the Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
