Shirley Lee (Tawney) Fair

Shirley L. Fair, nee Tawney, age 89, of Taneytown, MD, died on November 8, 2023 at Lorien of Taneytown. She was the wife of the late Ray E. Fair, who died October 11, 2011. Born February 20, 1934, in Westminster, MD, she was the daughter of the late Wilson M. and Ruth M. Bauerline Tawney.

Shirley was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, music, crocheting, drawing, oil painting and jigsaw puzzles. She loved British comedies and British Mystery TV shows.

Surviving are her daughter, Dawn L. Brown and husband Terry L. Brown of Fairfield, PA; brother, Francis C. Tawney of York Springs, PA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Wilson M. Tawney, Jr. and Carl L. Tawney, Sr.
