Sheryl Jean Barnes Walker, age 58, of Westminster, Maryland, died suddenly as a result of an automobile accident near Hanover, Pennsylvania on Friday, January 8, 2016.
Born July 5, 1957 in Orlando, Florida, she was the daughter of Charles E. “Gene” Barnes, Sr. of Westminster and the late Shirley Mae (Van Horne) Barnes.
She was a store manager with Rite Aid in Hanover, Pennsylvania. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving her in addition to her father are children, Carrie Walker of York, PA, Rachelle Walker of Dover, PA, Braden Walker of Hanover, PA, and Eric Walker and wife Megan of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, Aden, Kamden, Ella Mae, Gauge, and Lakelyn; brother, Charles E. “Chuck” Barnes, Jr. and wife Teresa of Westminster; nephews, C.J., Jacob, and Jared Barnes; niece, Brittany Barnes.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Open Door in Westminster with Rev. Norris Belcher officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
