Sheree Lynn Smith, 59, of Keymar, MD, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. Born February 2, 1957 in York, PA, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Viola (Amspacher) Abel. She was the wife of Sterling Smith, Jr., to whom she was married for almost 25 years.
Sheree was an assembler at Beach Filters-Sta Dri in Hanover, PA, where she worked for many years. She was a member of Keysville Grace United Church of Christ and served as a secretary there. She was the acting Vice President of Keysville Union Cemetery. She enjoyed being outdoors, doing lawn work, and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband are son, Brandon Abel and fiancée Amanda Watson of Frederick; daughter, Khalie Smith of Keymar; siblings, Dale Abel and wife Shirley “Tink”, Tammy Grove and husband Carl, and Randy Abel and wife Deb, all of PA; grandson, Austin; step-granddaughter, Breana; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, 21787. Services and interment will be private.
